I'm trying the proxies over at serprocket.com

If I use it in a browser on a winbox (FF/chrome/etc) the proxy works fine.

But in aparser the 'wait proxy threads' just maxes out instantly and never scrapes anything. I'm stumped. Any ideas?

Check proxy in Proxy Checker and submit a screenshot.

It shows "bad port" but like I said it works in a browser fine and that's the port the service gave me to use. I'm sure I'm just ignorant of what to do....

    Try these steps:
    - if you use a link to a list of proxies, put it in a file aparser/files/proxy/sites.txt
    or
    - put a list of proxy in format
    111.111.111.111:0000
    in a file aparser/files/proxy/proxy.txt
    - And after one of these steps in Proxy Checker select preset "default", and then click Restart button.
After that submit a screenshot of Proxy Checker.

Just to be sure I checked the proxy in a browser again. It is still working. The SerpProxy guy told me he would chat with you if you want. His skype ID is sudochop in case that's something you're willing/interested in doing.

Here's a screenshot showing the output from ipchicken.com from the browser (each refresh is a different IP, etc):

Seems like proxies doesn't support other ports than 80/443, A-Parser's proxies judge use port 25000
